Zoho Inventory guide

Zoho Inventory tracks your stock, orders and shipments in real time, across one or more warehouses. It connects your sales (CRM, online store) to your accounting (Books) so your stock levels are always accurate, everywhere.

Getting started

  1. Set up your organization and your Canadian taxes.
  2. Create or import your items with prices, costs, SKUs and images.
  3. Enter your opening stock levels for each warehouse.
  4. Set reorder points so you get alerts before you run out.
  5. Connect Zoho Books to sync invoices and accounting entries.
  6. Connect your sales channels (online store, Amazon, point of sale) as needed.

Key features

  • Multi-warehouse tracking with stock transfers.
  • Serial numbers and batch tracking.
  • Purchase orders, receipts and vendor returns.
  • Composite items (bundles/kits).
  • Inventory, sales and purchasing reports.

Tips from our specialists

  • Do a physical count before go-live: a system that starts with bad numbers never fixes itself.
  • Use barcodes from day one to speed up receiving and shipping.
  • Well-tuned reorder points replace hours of manual checks.
