The three mistakes we fix most often
- One warehouse declared when there are several. Total stock looks sufficient, but it is not where it is needed. Declaring locations from the start avoids promises you cannot keep.
- No reorder points. Without them, the shortage is discovered at shipping time. Thresholds raise the alert while there is still time.
- Inconsistent units of measure. Buying by the case and selling by the unit without a defined conversion throws the inventory off at the first receipt.

Can we track batch and serial numbers?
Yes. Traceability is recorded at receiving and carries through to shipping, with no parallel register. It matters in food processing and for anything under warranty.
What if our stock sits with a third party?
A warehouse can represent a physical location, a subcontractor or a truck. The logic stays the same.
Do we need a barcode scanner?
Not required, but once volume picks up it is the difference between an accurate inventory and an approximate one.
