CentrixOne shuts down on September 13, 2026
CentrixOne accounts, now Cone following the merger with Boom CRM, will no longer be accessible as of September 13, 2026. After that date, you can no longer extract your accounts, contacts, deals, emails and automations.
Nuagix migrates your account to Zoho One before the deadline, with your configurations reproduced and your data hosted in Canada. Book a Zoom meeting to confirm your timeline.
A CentrixOne migration means extracting all the data from a CentrixOne account — accounts, contacts, deals, activities, emails, marketing campaigns, custom fields and automations — and rebuilding it in a new CRM platform without disrupting operations. Nuagix, a Zoho Premium Partner in Quebec since 2019, carries out these migrations to Zoho One using a rapid migration tool designed to reproduce existing configurations rather than reinvent them.
Why businesses are migrating off CentrixOne right now
CentrixOne is a CRM designed in Quebec, hosted in Canada, used by hundreds of SMBs and distributed notably to Acomba and QuickBooks users.
Following the merger of CentrixOne and Boom CRM, the combined company announced its new name, Cone, on July 11, 2025, along with a completely rebuilt CRM platform. CentrixOne subscribers have since received a notice asking them to transition within a set time frame.
An imposed deadline forces a decision: follow the proposed transition, or use the moment to evaluate a different platform. Either way, the technical question is the same — how do you move years of configuration without breaking everything?
If you received that notice, the deadline it states becomes your real project timeline. It determines how much time you have to extract, validate and rebuild your data.
What carries over in a CentrixOne to Zoho One migration
| In CentrixOne | Zoho equivalent | Migration notes |
|---|---|---|
| Accounts | Zoho CRM — Accounts | Deduplication required before import |
| Contacts | Zoho CRM — Contacts | Link to the correct account must be validated |
| Opportunities and pipeline | Zoho CRM — Deals | Pipeline stages are recreated one by one |
| Activities, notes, calls, appointments | Zoho CRM — Activities | History is preserved with its original dates |
| Custom fields | Zoho CRM custom fields | Field types must match (picklist, date, currency…) |
| Campaigns and newsletters | Zoho Campaigns / Marketing Automation | Consent and unsubscribe statuses must carry over |
| Automations and sequences | Workflows, Blueprint, Zia | Rebuilt; they can’t be exported as is |
| Documents and attachments | Zoho WorkDrive / linked files | Volume to plan for |
| Accounting link (Acomba, QuickBooks) | Zoho Books or connector | Validate early in the project |
| Users, roles and permissions | Zoho users and profiles | A chance to clean up inactive access |
The six steps of a successful CentrixOne migration
- Inventory. Identify the modules actually in use, custom fields, active automations and existing integrations. This is where you find out what’s still useful and what’s been gathering dust for three years.
- Extraction. Export the CentrixOne data into structured files, module by module, keeping the IDs that link records to one another.
- Cleanup and mapping. Deduplicate, standardize formats (dates, phone numbers, provinces) and build the mapping table between each source field and its destination.
- Configuration rebuild. Recreate the equivalent modules, fields, pipelines, roles and automations in Zoho — before importing a single row of data.
- Import and validation. Load into a test environment, compare totals (number of accounts and contacts, pipeline value) and fix issues before the actual cutover.
- Cutover and support. Switch teams over, train users and keep the old environment in read-only mode for the agreed period.
The most common pitfalls
- Duplicates. A CRM that’s several years old almost always contains duplicate contacts. Migrating without cleaning up means paying to move the mess.
- Automations. No platform exports its automations to another. They get documented, then rebuilt. It’s often the longest part of the project.
- Consents. Unsubscribe statuses and proof of consent must follow the contacts. It’s a requirement of Quebec’s Law 25 (and of CASL for commercial messages), not a technical detail.
- Email history. It can be migrated, but its volume can multiply the transfer time. Decide early: all of it, or the last 24 months.
- The accounting link. If CentrixOne was connected to Acomba or QuickBooks, the quote → invoice chain has to be rethought in the new platform.
- Timing. A migration planned three weeks before the deadline costs more and leaves less room for validation than one planned three months ahead.
How long does a CentrixOne migration take?
It depends on volume and complexity, but here’s the typical range we’ve seen on our projects:
- Simple CRM (contacts, accounts, pipeline, few custom fields): a few days to two weeks.
- CRM with automations and marketing campaigns: three to six weeks.
- CRM connected to accounting or third-party tools: six to ten weeks.
These timelines include validation, not just the technical transfer. A raw import can be done in a few hours — it’s verifying the data and rebuilding the business rules that takes time.

CentrixOne migration FAQ
Can I export my data from CentrixOne?
Yes. The data in a CentrixOne account — accounts, contacts, deals, activities and marketing lists — can be extracted into structured files, module by module. That’s the first step in any migration. Automations can’t be exported: they get documented and then rebuilt in the new platform.
Has CentrixOne become Cone?
Yes. Following the merger of CentrixOne and Boom CRM, the combined company announced its new name, Cone, on July 11, 2025, with a rebuilt CRM platform and an integrated marketing suite.
Which platform should I migrate to if I leave CentrixOne?
It depends on your actual needs. Nuagix handles migrations to Zoho One, a suite that brings together CRM, marketing, invoicing, projects and customer service in a single subscription, with data hosted in Canada. A scoping meeting lets you confirm it’s the right choice before committing to anything.
Will I lose my sales history when I migrate?
Not if the migration is planned. Won and lost deals, activities and notes carry over with their original dates. History gets lost when a migration is rushed and only active contacts are brought over.
How long does a CentrixOne migration take?
From a few days for a simple CRM to about ten weeks for an environment connected to accounting and complex automations. The deciding factor isn’t data volume but the number of business rules to reproduce.
Do we have to stop operations during the migration?
No. The rebuild happens in a parallel environment. Teams keep working in the old tool until cutover, which is usually scheduled for a weekend or a quiet period.
What if CentrixOne was connected to Acomba or QuickBooks?
The accounting link has to be rethought from the inventory stage onward. Zoho One includes Zoho Books, and connectors exist for the main accounting packages. It’s one of the first points to validate in the scoping meeting.
Is the CentrixOne migration compliant with Law 25?
Consent and unsubscribe statuses carry over with the contacts, data is hosted in Canada and access is reconfigured along the way. Nuagix documents these elements as part of the project to support compliance with Quebec’s Law 25 and Bill 96 (Charter of the French language).
